Exhibiting documents in evidence
Documents can be exhibited in different ways in a civil suit. It may be exhibited:
- The opposite party admits the document
- The document is filed along with the oral evidence of any witness
- The document is produced during cross examination of any witness to contradict him or to question him about its validity.
So , above are the ways of exhibiting documents in evidence .
But what is the value of exhibiting the documents in such a way. Does this mean that the document stands proved and whatever is stated therein is believed to be true?
